Peace Day aims to advance active learning in the areas of conflict resolution, global citizenship and human rights, using Peace Day 21 September as a focus. 

Over the years thousands of schools around the world have thought up fun and innovative ways to celebrate Peace Day. From holding a sporting event to writing a peace song or poem.

Poetry deals with the emotions, just as music. An autobiographical poem is personal, it reveals something about the person writing the poem like the one by Margaret Atwood. It does not have to rhyme.
