PEACE DAY

Peace Day aims to advance active learning in the areas of conflict resolution, global citizenship and human rights, using Peace Day 21 September as a focus. 

Over the years thousands of schools around the world have thought up fun and innovative ways to celebrate Peace Day. From holding a sporting event to writing a peace song or poem.

Poetry deals with the emotions, just as music. An autobiographical poem is personal, it reveals something about the person writing the poem like the one by Margaret Atwood. It does not have to rhyme. Shakespeare plays



Three great plays of shakespeare 

Drama technique can be exploited for interpretation of the literary text and, especially, for understanding a fictitious character. In this activity, you get into the skin of the character and think from his/her point of view. You must totally empathize with the character.

Aims of the Activity


 - Reading comprehension, especially interpretation of text and character.
 - Writing diary entries, i.e. being able to express personal feelings and thoughts.

Procedure


The class is divided into groups of five or six students. In groups, each student must select an important point of time in the main character's life in the chosen text. It could be a time of success, failure, disappointment, a time when the character has a monologue with himself.

After having selected a crucial point of time, the individual members of the groups must say aloud the thoughts of the character to each other. After having heard each others' interpretations, the group has to work on a final one which will be presented in front of the class by a student as if the pupil was the character.

               El Blog está incluido en una amplia gama de aplicaciones tales como estudio basado en la red,  aulas virtuales, cooperación digital. Incluye la entrega de contenidos vía Internet, audio y vídeo que proporciona a los alumnos una amplia variedad de recursos para su enseñanza a la vez que pueden comentar lo publicado y dar su opinión.
